How to prepare mummy pizzas
Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (1)
Cut the dough into 8 rectangles with a sharp knife (2)
and bake at 220 ° C for about 7 minutes or until golden brown. Once ready, remove the pizzas from the oven and season them with tomato sauce (3).
Cut the cheese or mozzarella for pizza into thin strips (4)
and place them on the pizzas to form bandages. Place the pitted olives on the pizzas to form the eyes (5).
Bake again for 2-3 minutes. Your mummy pizzas are ready to be served (6).
Use the soft cheese you have available, preferably mozzarella for pizza, scamorza, emmentaler, fontina or provolone: avoid slices of melted cheese because they would melt too much during cooking, melting the bandages and ruining the final effect.
Before adding the tomato puree to the pizzas, season it in a bowl with salt and extra virgin olive oil. Those who prefer can also make round pizzas, to be cut out with a pastry cutter.
Storage for mummy pizzas
It is advisable to consume the mummy pizzas immediately after preparation or, in any case, during the day: they are also good at room temperature.
