Tartar sauce


Tartar sauce is made in just a few steps and is ideal for dressing roasted chicken, fried fish or to enrich a simple salad. It is prepared in 5 minutes and with few ingredients; hard-boiled eggs, a little mayonnaise and pickled gherkins are enough to obtain a tasty sauce that goes well with many different preparations. Taste the tartar sauce together with shrimp or fried squid, or use it to enrich a simple cut of chicken or beef … the tartar sauce has the advantage of being extremely versatile and making many different dishes delicious!

2 boiled eggs
3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
50 g pickled gherkins
juice of half a lemon
Pepper as needed.

Preparation of Tartar sauce

Chop the hard-boiled eggs and gherkins very finely and put them in a large bowl. Now add the mayonnaise, squeeze the lemon juice, then pepper to taste.

Then mix all the ingredients until evenly distributed, obtaining a slightly grainy sauce. Those who want to add a note of freshness to the sauce can add a little chopped parsley. The sauce is ready! It can be consumed immediately or stored in the fridge where it will keep for up to 2 – 3 days.
