How to make a guava syrup recipe for the cake:
It’s very simple to prepare this creamy guava syrup recipe, especially because it doesn’t go on fire: it’s a guava syrup in a blender! Start by cutting the guava paste into slices and then into cubes and heat the water until it boils.
Put the guava paste and water in a blender and blend everything for 2-3 minutes, or until you get a smooth syrup. Add the pinch of salt, which will help to bring out the flavour of the guava, and beat just to mix.
Tip: it is very important to use boiling water because it will melt the guava paste, turning it into a shiny and delicious syrup!
Your guava syrup in a blender is ready! Then use it to cover your finished cake and reserve the cake for a few minutes at room temperature or in the fridge, so that the syrup cools and becomes more consistent.
Tip: if the syrup is too soft, simply add a few more pieces of guava paste and mix again. Do not let the syrup cool down before using it on the cake as it will be difficult to spread.
